Abinarin is an orientation referring to a non-binary/abinary individual who is exclusively attracted to other non-binary/abinary individuals (NBLNB). This term is similar to the term enbian, however, it specifically describes exclusive attraction.
The term abinarin was intended to be the non-binary counterpart to terms such as lesbian, vincian, and carnic, all of which can sometimes be used to describe exclusive attraction to the same gender.
Whilst the term ceterosexual exists with a very similar, almost identical meaning, abinarin can be used by anyone who doesn't feel comfortable using ceterosexual due to its history of being transphobic at first, or anyone who would prefer the wording or definition of abinarin over ceterosexual.

Abinarin was coined by discord user thenelsonsystem#0156 (FANDOM user TheNelsonSystem), on July 21st, 2021.
The flag was made by the same user on the same day. Its colour scheme was inspired by those seen on the vincian and lesbian flags, with purple and yellow gradients used as they are commonly associated with non-binary/abinary genders.
