Demi-FictoFlex is a sexual/romantic orientation characterized by a separated dual attraction. On the one hand, a person feels sexual and romantic attraction to individuals of any gender that can be defined by the preference and the person's attraction itself without need necessarily to be any specific gender like for example "I only feel attracted to girls" ,this can vary from person to person and also some of the Demi-FictoFlex people do not feel on the need to specify, like simple don't want to,feel repulsion to or don't know on how specify for which gender or genders they are attracted to, and the attraction only occurs after the development of an emotional bond[1], and can vary according to feeling and interest. A person prefers not to label themselves as gay, pan, bi, or any other traditional category[2]. Including these factors, the attraction to real people can be fluid/flow[3] or fade away acquiring a lack of attraction.[4]This lack of attraction sometimes can be related by old bad experiences or trauma with old relationships, but is not in general, depends of each person.
On the other hand, the second partial attraction of the Demi-FictoFlex person is directed exclusively to fictional characters (2D or 3D) that do not exist in real life[5][6], without necessarily aligning with the demiaroace spectrum, that is, needing a deep emotional bond to feel attracted.[7][8]
Flag[]
This second main model which includes 8 stripes,is a new model to represent both Demiaroace spectrum and the Fictosexual spectrum.
The design includes:
- Dark Turquoise: Represents the sexual and romantic attraction to real people. This deep tone symbolizes the complexity and depth of this attraction, which occurs only after the development of an emotional bond. The dark color also reflects the idea that this type of attraction is less visible and more intimate.
- Turquoise: Represents the attraction to fictional characters. This vibrant and lively color suggests that attraction to fictional characters can be more immediate and apparent, without the need for a deep emotional connection. It denotes the vividness and diversity of this type of attraction.
- Light Blue: Reflects the fluidity and variability of attraction towards real people. The light blue color symbolizes the changing and adaptable nature of this attraction, which can fluctuate over time and with personal feelings.
- White: Symbolizes neutrality and openness to non-traditional labels. White represents the choice to avoid categorizing oneself as gay, pan, bi, or any other traditional label, and the preference for a more open and personal approach to orientation.
- Light Gray: Reflects the uncertainty or difficulty in specifying attraction towards real people. This neutral and soft color represents the ambiguity some people may feel when defining their preferences or dealing with lack of attraction, which can be influenced by past experiences or trauma.
- Gray & Black: The black and grey stripes represent the lack of attraction towards non-fictional individuals.
Symbol: the dark black triangle represents the Demi spectrum which needs a emotional bond to feel attracted to real people, infinite symbol circle represents a "portal" to the infinite fictional worlds and dimensions along with possibilities in question, and the dark turquoise represents attraction to fictional characters.
