Heteroplatonic is a term for when someone only feels platonic attraction to individuals of the "opposite" gender or dissimilar gender(s). Heteroplatonic does not mean one is "only friends with the opposite gender." Platonic attraction is the intense desire to be close friends with someone in specific, as such heteroplatonic individuals only experience this towards individuals of dissimilar genders.
