Petregender is a xenogender and neurogender that is influenced by or related to one's experiences with pet regression. This term is exclusively for pet regressors.

This term was coined by Tumblr user clouds-queer-blog on April 15th, 2021.[1]
The original petregender flag was also created by nelteon-coins on the same day.

The flag colors currently have no known meaning, but the pink overtone was meant to connect back to the ageregender flag, as there are lots of overlap between ageregressors and petregressors. The colors were picked with furry pets in mind though.
