The sex-indifferent flag
Sex-Indifferent is a sex stance that describes an individual who has no strong feelings regarding the act or concept of sexual interaction. The term is commonly used by individuals on the asexual spectrum, but it is not exclusive to the community.
Sex-indifferent individuals are not repulsed by sexual interactions or concepts, but they're also not favorable towards them. Sex-indifferent individuals may choose to engage in sexual activities for the enjoyment of a partner, reproduction, economic reasons, artistic expression, etc.
Some individuals may be indifferent towards certain sexual acts, while feeling favorable or repulsed by other sexual acts. The term sex-ambivalent may be used to describe this experience instead.
Sex-indifferent individuals may also identify with ARCsexual, acarnal, iculasexual or indiffesexual.
History & Coining[]
The term has existed within the asexual community for many years with no clear first coining. The term was recoined for the purpose of providing a concrete source by AnonymousHermitCrab on the r/asexuality subreddit on April 27, 2022.
