Triasexual, or Tria, refers to someone who is exclusively attracted to non-binary individuals. Someone who identifies as triasexual can be attracted to any gender under the non-binary spectrum and does not have to be attracted to all of said genders.
History & Coining[]
The term was coined collectively in the LGBTA Wiki Discord server on July 27th, 2020.
The word tria- means "third" in Esperanto, referencing how non-binary identities are commonly referred to as a third gender.
Flag[]
The triasexual flag was created by the same users on the same day. Its colour scheme is inspired by colours commonly associated with non-binary genders. The purple represents non-binary identities that are connected to femininity and/or masculinity, or identities that are a mix of masculine and feminine (androgynous), because pink and blue (commonly representing femininity and masculinity) mixed together make purple. The yellow represents abinary individuals and identities. It is also commonly used as color to represent non-binary individuals as a whole. The green represents atrinary identities, including xenogender individuals, as well as representing neutrois and agender individuals. The white represents love and/or attraction.
